Profile
Britt’s Wine and Dine is more than a tasting room. It is an experience where world-class wines meet small-town charm in the heart of Kilgore, Texas. Nestled among the tall pines of East Texas, Britt’s has become the go-to destination for wine lovers who want to slow down, relax, and enjoy something special. It is a place where laughter fills the air, glasses come together in celebration, and every visit feels like a moment worth remembering.
The story begins with founder Britt Davis, a Napa Valley native who grew up surrounded by vineyards and the art of winemaking. His passion for wine has taken him to six continents, where he explored vineyards, learned from winemakers, and experienced how different cultures approach hospitality. Those lessons now shape every part of Britt’s Wine and Dine. Each bottle, each event, and each tasting reflects Britt’s belief that wine should never feel intimidating. It should be a bridge between people, stories, and shared experiences.
When guests walk through the doors, they step into a warm and inviting space. The tasting room glows with soft lighting, polished wood, and local artwork that gives it an authentic East Texas feel. The goal is simple: create a setting where people can explore, ask questions, and enjoy themselves. Whether you are brand new to wine or have been collecting bottles for years, Britt and his friendly team make it easy to feel at home. They guide guests through tasting flights, help pair wines with food, and share fun facts that turn each pour into something meaningful.
The wine list changes often, so there is always something new to discover. You might start with a crisp white that tastes of citrus and pear, move on to a bold red with hints of oak and spice, or finish with a sweet dessert wine that lingers beautifully. There are also celebratory sparkling wines for special moments and carefully chosen non-alcoholic options for guests who prefer to skip the alcohol but not the flavor. Every selection is handpicked by Britt himself to showcase the best of both Texas and the world. From the Hill Country to Tuscany, from the vineyards of California to the valleys of France, each bottle tells a story of craftsmanship and care.
Beyond tastings, Britt’s Wine and Dine has become one of Kilgore’s favorite places for private gatherings. The tasting room and event space have hosted weddings, anniversaries, corporate mixers, and milestone birthdays. Each event is customized to reflect the personality of the host, complete with wine pairings, light catering, and attentive service. The team’s dedication ensures that guests leave not only satisfied but also inspired by the sense of community that fills the room.
For regular visitors, the Britt’s VIP Wine Club offers a way to keep the experience going year-round. Members can choose from three tiers: Silver, Gold, or Diamond, which include quarterly shipments of three, six, or twelve bottles. The club offers savings of up to 20 percent, as well as invitations to exclusive events and discounts on in-house pours. Pickup happens on the second Friday of each designated month, turning a simple errand into a social gathering filled with laughter, music, and new wines to enjoy. With automatic billing and friendly service, it is an easy and enjoyable way to grow your wine collection.
Located at 400 North Garcia Street, Britt’s Wine and Dine is open Thursday evenings and Friday and Saturday afternoons. Guests can also look forward to special event nights throughout the week, such as themed tastings, live music, and winemaker spotlights. Each visit brings a new experience, a new wine, or a new friend.
Britt’s Wine and Dine is more than a business. It is a celebration of people, flavor, and connection. It is a place where strangers become friends, where stories are told over glasses of ruby red, and where every bottle represents the heart and soul of East Texas hospitality.
